The October Meeting

This month Elaine gave us lots of ideas for trimming up a plain garment with hand enbelishments. The above sample was knitted with horizontal strips then the vertical ones were added by crocketing between stitches.
This sample was a standard lace pattern and then 1/8 ribbon was threaded through the holes and a bow tied to finish it off.

The sample was knitted with a simple wave pattern and then multicoloured chiffon ribbon was threaded through.
This sample was a knit/weave fabric which was then embroidered with bright colours to make a really interesting fabric. It would be a lot of work to make a whole garment like this but just a yoke or band would not be an unreasonable amount of work.
