August Show and Tell 2

Sandra has been using up some of her vast stash of knitting yarn to make some lovely baby cardigans. This white one is in a lacy looking tuck stitch with a fancy border on the bottom and round the cuffs. Most of them are machine made but this one is hand knitted. This is a close up of the stitches used

This little jacket in mauve and white has a neat little tuck at the top of the sleeves which just adds an extra bit of interest. Although it fastens up in the direction for a girl it would be just as attractive on a baby boy.

This little lacy cardigan has a hand tooled lace pattern down the sleeves and on each front. This looks difficult but could be done on the most basic of machines. It is the beautiful finishing that makes all these little garment look so professional.

Another mauve and white cardican that any mother would be proud to use to dress up her baby. This, of course, is a personal opinion but if anyone ou there disagrees, please leave a comment to say why.

There is no doubt that this is a cardigan for a girl. The photo does not do justice to the pretty pink colour of the main part which was knitted with two yarns through the feeder and the little roses sewn all round make it look very special.
