New Knitters
Machine knitting is undergoing something of a revival, as is hand knitting. We have had several enquiries from younger people wanting to take up the craft. This month we had a new lady bring in a second hand machine she had bought in the hopes that it would work and allow her to make clothes for the family. It was a Double Bed Singer, probably from the early 60s or late 50s. It was complete, in excellent condition and knitted beautifully once we had sorted out the instructions and set it up.
